The Livingston Art Center offers a number of classes and camps for people of all ages. We strive to provide gathering opportunities for artists young and old and accommodate many interests and media. Our classes are affordably priced and guaranteed to be a ton of fun. You can sign up for weekly classes, but drop-ins are welcome, too. We hope to see you at the Livingston Arts Center soon!
Classes for Kids
Mini Maestros and Artists: Toddlers and preschoolers will have a blast painting, drawing, and making music in this class. The class is from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturdays and involves an hour-long activity and a half-hour of sharing and free drawing/music time. Bring a smock; things will get messy!
Studio Smile Time: This class is for children ages 5 to 10 and will involve painting, drawing, sculpture, and collage. The class is on Thursdays from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m.
Classes for Teens
Art Out Loud: Express yourself in this class! Teens can come work in their favorite artistic medium while also trying out new media. We have an annual exhibit in our gallery for paintings, drawings, sculptures, and collages from participants. This class is open to students between 11 and 17 years of age. The class is on Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m.
Writing 4 Life: This class can get teens ready for our Poetry Slam events! Learn to tell your story and channel your feelings through poetry and other types of writing. This class runs on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. We spend the last 45 minutes of each session offering critiques of each other’s work.
Classes for Adults
Master Class: We offer weeknight classes focused on a variety of media. Sign up for your favorite to refine your skills or try out something new. The schedule is as follows:
Monday: Painting
Tuesday: Drawing
Wednesday: Collage
Thursday: Photography
Friday: Sculpture and Pottery
Classes are from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Writing Workshop: Practice writing fiction and poetry with other local writers. We offer work time and a chance to exchange pieces and workshop them. You can also use this time to prepare for our monthly reading. Join us on Sunday evenings from 6 to 8.
Community Band: We have several community bands that meet to learn and practice new music together. They meet on the following days:

Folk and Bluegrass: Wednesday
